The on-line application did not make it clear that the policy started from 11.59pm on the date requested as the start date. It would be natural to assume cover from the start date included the whole of that date. Once I read the policy I realized otherwise. Hence I had to telephone to cancel my policy and apply for another one starting from the day before. This needs correcting and is quite misleading. It did not occur when applying via telephone as the terms were read out I coding that the policy commences at 11.59pm on the start date!
